In short
- No photos yet only means no one's order has reached a public database; Hoobuy still photographs your own item.
- QC photos follow the seller, not the agent that took them.
- Paste a Hoobuy link, another agent's link or a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 link to see the QC photos other buyers received.
How Hoobuy QC photos work
On Hoobuy the path of a product link is a marketplace number followed by the item: product/2/ is Weidian, product/1/ is Taobao, product/0/ is 1688. The finder knows the mapping, so a Hoobuy link goes straight to the right listing and its QC photos. No app and no extension needed; any phone or desktop browser will do.
QC photos are the pictures an agent's warehouse takes of an item after the seller has delivered it and before it ships abroad. Hoobuy takes them of your own order; this finder shows you the ones other buyers already received for the same listing, so you can judge a seller's current batch before you pay for anything.
The photos belong to the seller's listing, not to the agent that took them, which is why photos from other agents' warehouses apply to a Hoobuy order just as well. On this spreadsheet 1668 finds already have photos on record; they are marked QC on every listing page.
Every agent link wraps a listing on a Chinese marketplace like Taobao or Weidian, and that listing is what the photos are matched to.
What Hoobuy includes
Hoobuy includes QC photos with every order, though the images come back compressed: good enough to catch an obvious defect, not always good enough to judge stitching or a tag font. It is also one of the few agents that buys from Xianyu, China's second-hand marketplace. (As of September 2026; Hoobuy's own pages have the current terms.)
- When an item reaches Hoobuy's warehouse it is inspected and photographed for you, and Hoobuy contacts you if there is a problem; items bought on 1688 follow a different inspection standard.
- Hoobuy stores your items free for 90 days in its warehouse.
From Hoobuy's own pages, September 2026. Hoobuy shipping covers lines, costs and delivery times.
Reading QC photos like a regular
When not to reject
Creasing from packing, lighting that makes a colour look warm or cool, a bit of lint: a photo exaggerates all of these. If you are unsure, ask for another photo; that is a normal request.
The print or logo
Compare proportions and letter spacing against a photo of the genuine item, not against the seller's listing; listing photos are often lifted from the real product.
Mind the photo count
A listing with dozens of photos from many orders is a well-trodden one: you are seeing what the seller consistently ships. Two photos from one order tell you far less.
Hardware and tags
Zip pulls, buttons, rivets, care labels and the fonts on tags are cheap for a good factory to get right, which is exactly why a rushed one gives itself away there.
Ask for a measurement photo
Chinese sizing runs small and inconsistently. If you are between sizes, ask for the garment flat against a tape measure (chest across for tops, insole length for shoes) and compare it with something you own that fits.
Item by item
| Item | What to check in the photos |
|---|---|
| Clothing | Print alignment and texture, tag fonts, hem stitching, colour against the listing. |
| Shoes | Midsole glue lines, toe-box shape, heel-tab stitching, how sharp the insole print is. |
| Bags and accessories | Hardware weight and engraving, edge paint, the lining pattern. |
| Sizing | Ask for a measurement photo if you are between sizes; the letter on the tag means little. |

Hoobuy QC finder: questions
Does Hoobuy have QC photos?
Yes. Hoobuy photographs your items when they reach its warehouse in China, and you see those photos in your account before you pay for international shipping. This page shows the photos other buyers already got for the same listing, so you can check an item before you order it.
Why are there no QC photos for my link?
Either nobody has ordered that exact listing yet, or no one's photos have reached a public database. It is not a sign the seller is bad, and it does not affect the photos Hoobuy takes of your own order.
How do I check QC on Hoobuy?
Wait until the order has reached Hoobuy's warehouse, then open your Hoobuy account and go to that order (or your warehouse items): the QC photos are shown on the item. Check them, then approve it or ask for an exchange or return while it is still in China.
How is this different from Hoobuy's own QC photos?
Yes. Hoobuy takes photos of your own order once it reaches the warehouse. The photos here come earlier: they are what other buyers got from the same listing, before you spend anything.
Do QC photos from other agents apply to Hoobuy?
Yes. QC photos belong to the seller's listing, not to the agent that took them, so a photo taken for someone who ordered through a different agent shows what the same seller ships to a Hoobuy buyer.
What is Hoobuy?
Hoobuy is a shopping agent: you give it a link from Taobao, Weidian or 1688, it buys the item from the Chinese seller, photographs it at its warehouse and ships your items abroad together in one parcel.
Is the QC finder free?
Yes: no account, no signup, no limit for normal use. The site earns a commission only if you sign up to Hoobuy or order through its links.
What are QC photos?
QC stands for quality check. When an order reaches an agent's warehouse in China, staff photograph the actual item (stitching, tags, soles, hardware, often on a measuring mat) before anything ships internationally. You approve or reject it from those photos.
Which links does this QC finder for Hoobuy accept?
No. It reads a Hoobuy link, a link from any other agent, or the listing's own Taobao, Weidian or 1688 address, and looks up the same listing either way.
How do I find QC photos for a Hoobuy item?
Copy the item's link from Hoobuy (or from any other agent, or straight from Taobao, Weidian or 1688) and paste it into the finder at the top of this page. It unwraps the link to the seller's listing and shows the QC photos other buyers received, grouped by date, newest first.
Can I reject an item after QC?
The time to reject is at the warehouse, before international shipping, while the item is still in China and an exchange or refund with the seller is possible. Check Hoobuy's own return rules for the details.
Is there a QC checker for Hoobuy items?
Yes. Paste a link from Hoobuy, from another agent, or straight from Taobao, Weidian or 1688, and it shows the QC photos other buyers received for that exact listing. Your own item's photos come from Hoobuy after you order.
